"Welcome to New York: All About Arrival Records" with Alec Ferretti

This session gives genealogists a practical overview of U.S. arrival records across history—from the sparse documents of the 1700s to today’s digital CBP databases—with a particular focus on the rich records of the early 1900s. Attendees will learn how these records were created, used, and preserved, and how to track both sea, land, and air arrivals. The talk also highlights lesser-known “remedial” arrival records that can fill in gaps when initial immigration records are missing.
